Raquel Senra is an artist of great sensitivity and creativity, who is not afraid to experiment with techniques, colors and textures. In her picture book illustration, she seeks to understand and complement the text, but expressing the narrative concept from her own universe.

During her time with us, we also had the opportunity to discover her well-focused creativity as an illustrator, sharing interesting projects that, with her help, came alive, such as “Funy”.

LIJMI's 2019 monograph "Imaxes nenez-vellez na LIX" features images by illustrator Raquel Senra that are made in collaboration with Kenya Pineda. The drawings reflect the intergenerational relationships between boys and girls and their grandparents with imagination and freshness. They are illustrations made with different techniques that mix drawing with collage, as is usual in Raquel's work.
